Dublin Day Three - Boarding the Navigator
We were up early this morning to pack up our things and get ready to board the Navigator. The limo is to arrive here at the hotel at 11 am. Because we are Titanium on Regent, we get free limo service to the ship from our hotel. Probably should have had it from the airport to hotel as that was a longer ride. Oh well, they only do either not both.
Last night we decided to have our drinks in the lounge. Here in Dublin Old Fashions are made with an orange peel and no cherry. But one night I got a cherry but the bartender told me a cherry is a southern American way. Guess he told me. But I will continue to make mine the same way I always do.
Then we went to the dining room and had a Reuben sandwich and some onion rings. The sandwich was served on a roll which we did not eat. Not the best sandwich and we should have ordered only one and shared it. Live and learn.
Back to the room and watched another episode of Midsomer Murder. Then lights out and tried to sleep. Neither of us had a good night sleep. I usually don't sleep well before a cruise in anticipation. Guess I am just anxious.
Limo picked us up at 11 am. When I say limo, that is an understatement. It was a bus. Just Bob and I on the bus but he took us to the port where we took our luggage into the tent and waited for the time when they opened up the boarding time.
Once boarding was opened, we were the first ones to board. At that point, no problems. Just went to the theater and we checked in. Went up to Veranda for lunch and at 1pm our suite was ready. And the luggage was already in the suite. So we unpacked and put everything in its place. Suite is fine. Not too large but big enough for everything we have.
Muster drill and then to lounge for cocktails where Ray asked if we were free for dinner. Had a great dinner with Ray and then back to suite to get ready for bed. Big day.
